From Overthinking to Awareness is a single 90-minute coaching session that helps you understand what's keeping you stuck, experience what coaching actually feels like, and decide whether you may benefit from further support. 

What brings people to this session

You've been going around in circles on a decision and nothing has shifted. You've made lists, asked for other opinions, and done all the research, and it just doesn't seem to help. In fact, it makes things worse. You're not sure how to move forward. 

You want relief and hadn't realised coaching could help, or you're not sure coaching is the right move. Or perhaps you just don't want to commit to a full coaching programme, and I totally get that.​​

What you'll get 

One 90 minute session structured around the following three things:

 

  • An understanding of what's really keeping you stuck

​We explore your specific decision and start to identify what's getting in your way. 

  • Experience of psychological flexibility in action

You'll get an introduction to Acceptance and Commitment principles and have the chance to experience practising one or two of the psychological flexibility skills most relevant to your situation. You'll leave knowing whether this approach resonates with you.

  • A practical tool or technique you can use immediately 

You'll leave with at least one tool or technique, that you can continue to utilise beyond the session, to help you manage your overthinking tendencies.

 

What this isn't: A shortcut to making your decision. One session can provide awareness and insight and give you a taste of the work, but it won't build the skills you need to move forward, despite your overthinking being present. Think of it as opening the door, not walking through it.​​​​​

Is one session sufficient?

The classic psychologist response applies here: "It depends"...

 

From Overthinking to Awareness is likely to be sufficient if you:

  • Have one specific stuck point rather than a long-standing pattern of overthinking or analysis paralysis. This might be a one-off, let's say...

  • Want immediate relief from the analysis paralysis.

  • Want to experience ACC before committing further.

  • Want to try a different approach to interrupt your overthinking while you consider next steps.

  • Are unsure if coaching is right for you.

 

The alternative From Overthinking to Action is likely to be more suitable if you:

  • Have been stuck for more than a few months on your decision.

  • Overthinking affects multiple areas of your life.

  • You recognise this is a pattern, not a one-off.

  • You want to build sustainable psychological skills beyond this one decision.

Its purpose is to help us gain a deeper understanding of your needs, goals and preferences and for me to design a coaching experience that is both effective and meaningful for you.
