From Overthinking to Action is a 3 or 6 month coaching programme that helps you move toward a decision that is workable for you.
What brings people to this session
You've been wrestling with a decision for months. You've likely weighed the pros and cons, analysed every foreseeable scenario or eventuality, asked everyone their opinion, all of which has left you more confused than when you started. You feel stuck and don't know how to move forward in a way that is best for you.
The reality is that more thinking won't get you unstuck. Different thinking won't either. What you need is a different way of relating to your thoughts, feelings and even the decision itself. And that's what Psychological Flexibility offers you, and that's what this programme helps you develop.
What's included?
Regardless of which programme you choose, you'll be supported with your specific
decision, along with personalised development of psychological skills that make
future decisions or challenges possible, without your overthinking running the show.
3 month programme includes:

Sessions will be spaced according to your needs and circumstances, whilst allowing for skill practice and integration into day to day life. Each session will build upon the last, providing you with a base set of psychological skills that are your for life!

Move toward what matters
We'll explore why you're stuck and what you're really avoiding, along with what's important to you. We'll map your overthinking triggers and the uncomfortable thoughts and feelings that arise and how they influence your behaviour.
We'll explore ways to stop fighting with uncertainty, fear, and doubt and practice skills that create distance between you and your inner experience, so that you are able to rectify unhelpful patterns of behaviour going forward.
You'll clarify your values and who/what is important to you, exploring what your decision is really about underneath the surface. You'll take meaningful steps forward that align with what what you've identified is important to you.
The outcomes?
What will be different:

Taking meaningful action that is workable for you, whether that's making a decision or something else. It won't be a 'perfect' decision, but it will be one that is workable for you and your circumstances.

Your relationship with your thoughts - your unhelpful thoughts and emotions will still show up, but you won't let them control your behaviour.

Acknowledging that overthinking is part of who you are and that your overthinking is not a problem to fix or eliminate.

Decision-making gets easier - you'll have an internal compass (your values) that you can draw upon to guide your decisions and actions.

A re-focus of mental energy. Rather than expending mental energy on futile 'what ifs', analysis and worrying, you can use your energy to focus on doing things that align with what is most important to you.

Enhanced psychological skills, that allow you to manage uncertainty, overthinking or doubts that may arise, and respond in ways that align with who you want to be, rather than letting those thoughts control you. Psychological flexibility is a capacity you can carry into future challenges, decisions, or transitions.

If you would like to go ahead, we will arrange a date for your first session and you will be provided with a pre-session questionnaire to complete. Its purpose is to help us gain a deeper understanding of your needs, goals and preferences and for me to design a coaching experience that is both effective and meaningful for you.
